Tuesday Topics: Opioid Epidemic

November 28, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Opioid Epidemic

The opioid epidemic that has hit the coasts and other areas of the country has reached Kansas and Wichita, too. No demographic is spared: all incomes, all races, all ages are vulnerable to death by overdose. What can we do in our community to prevent the tragic death & devastation seen in other areas of the country? Our panelists will include leaders working in this area: Dan East, Capt. of the Wichita Police Department’s Special Investigations Bureau, which includes narcotics investigation; Dr. Greg Lakin, physician and legislator; Pastor Dave Fulton, Safe Streets Wichita; and Jan Chandler, Partners for Wichita.

Tuesday Topics are co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters – Wichita Metro that are timely & relevant to our community. Room opens at 11:30. Drinks provided; feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.
