South Central Legislative Delegation Public Forum

April 14, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

There will be a South Central Delegation public forum on April 14th from 10-11:30am WATC main campus (renamed WSU Tech).

90 Minute Public Forum: 10am:-11:30am
Wichita Area Technical College / NCAT auditorium. 4004 N. Webb Rd, Wichita, KS 67226

Legislators from the South Central Legislative Delegation will be on hand to talk before and after the official forum for a few minutes.

NOTE: Some delegation members have other events on the 14th that conflict with this event but are hosting their own events during the April break and hope to see you at those events.

1. The format for this event will be as follows:

10:00am-10:10am – Legislators will be given a moment for to speak about their districts and committee assignments.
10:10am-11:30am – We will have 70-75 people speak for up to 1 minute on any topic they wish (if fewer people sign up then the minute will be extended).

There will be a sign-up sheet at the event starting at 9:30am and the first 70 people will be guaranteed a speaking slot and the additional 5 will be given a spot if someone leaves or doesn’t use their time.
If there is additional time before the end any legislator will be able to address the public comments. We want this to be about the public, not the legislators.

2. Questions should be addressed to the delegation as a whole and NOT to any particular individual.

3. We understand that we will sometimes have different opinions on particular issues, however, it is expected that all parties will be treated with respect and interact in a civil way.

Please remember, there are many on-going opportunities to engage legislators well into the 2018 Legislative Session.
