The History of Education in Paraguay Lecture

Join us for a short lecture presented by Juan Carlos Camps on “The History of Education in Paraguay”. He will share information on Bilingualism in Paraguay as well as the influence of the Catholic Church in Paraguayan Education. Juan Carlos Camps is a professor of General Linguistics from Paraguay and also the General Director of the Instituto de Formación Docente Paraguayo Americano. (I.F.D. P.Y.). His visit is coordinated by Kansas Paraguay Partners (KPP). Kansas Paraguay Partners is a non-profit organization in which the state of Kansas and the country of Paraguay are connected through people-to-people exchange. KPP is currently celebrating 50 years of the partnership. Camps travel is sponsored by Partners of the Americas with support from the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs, Office of Citizen Exchanges, U.S. Department of State to promote improved understanding of the culture and institutions of the peoples of the Americas.
