Attend this Friday: 7th Annual Gender & Sexuality Conference
March 13 @ 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
The 2020 Gender & Sexuality in Kansas Conference will be held on Friday, March 13th on the second floor of the RSC.
The purpose of this annual conference is to showcase the gender and sexuality related scholarship happening across our state. The goal is to highlight scholarly and creative work of students, faculty, staff, and community partners around gender and/or sexuality issues and to provide an opportunity to network across departments and universities within Kansas.
Our keynote address will be by Dr. Sarah Deer, Professor of Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies at KU. She has recently become one of only ten Native women to be inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame in its 50-year history. Her scholarship focuses on the intersection of federal Indian law and victims’ rights.
As always, this conference is free and open to all students, faculty, and staff from Kansas Board of Regents affiliated colleges & universities as well as the Wichita community.
Planning for the 2020 conference is underway so be sure to check back for more information about submitting presentations, registration links, & the tentative conference agenda. You can also learn more by going to: www.wichita.edu/genderconference
