The McAdams Ole’ School Family Reunion

Sunday, September 24, 4:00 – 7:00 pm
At McAdams Park

Did you know that in Summer 2017, the McAdams pool was closed as part of a plan to close all but 3 city wide public swimming pools over the next 4 years?  Did you know that on August 15th the Wichita City Council offered Northeast Wichita a $4 million pool but not until 2021?
On Sept. 24, 4-7 pm, The Mc Adams Ole’ School Family Reunion will kick off a celebration of the history of the park and the pool.  This event hopes to energize the whole neighborhood to join the project to secure a pool for the next generation of kids and adults.

Please come to McAdams park and listen to Lavonta Williams, City Council Representative for District 1, along with other officials from the city and neighborhood, explain what an opportunity we have for McAdams and adjoining neighborhoods.
This is a Free Family Event! Bring Your Lawn Chairs & Enjoy Free Food, DJ, Kid’s Games, Adult Card Games, Dominos, Sack Races, Kickball, Fire trucks & More! Come join Wichita’s Largest Soul Train Line & Help Spread “Community Unity”.

McAdams Ole’ School Family Reunion is a chance for everybody to learn about the City Council offer, join the effort to bring swimming back, express ideas/concerns, and witness democracy in action! Most of all, we can share community, good will, and FUN!
