EMERGENCY RESPONSE TO PRESIDENT OBAMA'S PLAN FOR AFGHANISTAN

We all hoped that President Obama would resist the pressures from his generals not to send more troops to Afghanistan. Recently, Matthew Hoh, a former Marine and later a senior US official in Afghanistan, resigned in protest of the Afghan war. US Ambassador to Afghanistan, Karl Eikenberry, urged President Obama not to send more troops to Afghanistan, saying there is no military solution to the conflict.

However, all accounts are that on Tuesday, December 1st, President Obama will announce his decision to send 34,000 more troops to Afghanistan.
