Report on Cuba Caravan
Sept. 21, 2007, 6:30 p.m.
For about 18 days in July, Janice Bradley, Peace Center board member, participated in the 18th “Friendshipment Caravan” to Cuba with Pastors for Peace (PFP). PFP travels to Cuba in opposition to the 47-year long economic blockade by the U.S. against Cuba. At the same time, PFP upholds the right to deliver humanitarian aid to our neighbors. They took 90 tons of mostly medical aid in busses and trucks loaded on barges at the port of Tampico, Mexico.
The Cuba Caravan was an exciting and enriching experience. Janice will be sharing her impressions and looking at contrasts on Sept. 21, 2007, International Peace Day, at 7:00 p.m., Inter-Faith Ministries Gallery , 829 N. Market, Wichita. Come at 6:00-6:30 for Rice and Beans and bring a potluck offering.
